09 Jun Brower, Miller & Cole Grows Its Client Base With The Addition Of The Orange County Rescue Mission
ORANGE COUNTY, CA, (June 9, 2009) – Brower, Miller & Cole, a Newport Beach, Calif.-based full service marketing, public relations and advertising firm, has grown its client base with the addition of the Orange County Rescue Mission. The firm has been selected by the Rescue Mission to handle its community outreach and help grow its donor program.
“While other firms may be sitting on the sidelines watching to see how the market plays out, Brower, Miller & Cole is embarking on a rapid growth plan,” Brower said. “The Orange County Rescue Mission is doing important work in our community. Our firm is helping assist the Rescue Mission to be more successful in its program to assist the needy in our own county.”
Brower, Miller & Cole is handling all the publicity outreach, both locally and nationally, for the Orange County Rescue Mission, its Village of Hope and its joint-venture with Rancho Community Church at Temecula Murrieta Rescue Mission. Brower, Miller & Cole is also developing a donor program for the Orange County Rescue Mission with three arms to reach out and bring together motivated men, women and young people to get involved with the organization.
Some of the publicity Brower, Miller & Cole has received thus far includes a national television segment on ABC World News, local affiliate feature television coverage on KABC and KCBS/KCAL and multiple feature stories in the local Orange County and Inland Empire media.
The first program Brower, Miller & Cole implemented for the Orange County Rescue Mission was conducted on a pro bono basis on behalf of the Orange County Rescue Mission. The publicity campaign announced the Orange County Rescue Mission’s “Village of Hope.”
“Due to the success of the publicity and the surge in donations we experienced from the grand opening event publicity, we hired Brower, Miller & Cole to continue its work,” explained Jim Palmer, President of the Orange County Rescue Mission. “Brower, Miller & Cole understands the need to spread the word about the homeless and those in need, both locally and nationally through publicity and social media, as well as to assist us in growing our current donor program.”
The Orange County Rescue Mission oversees several outreach programs geared towards meeting the most basic needs of the homeless and hungry within Orange County. Due to the recession, more and more families are finding themselves suddenly homeless or in need of food.
As the need continues to grow at an alarming rate, so does the need for continued donations to help maintain the weekly distribution of 9,100 food boxes, hygiene kits and clothing to families with nowhere else to turn. The Orange County Rescue Mission also runs a mobile medical clinic which provides medical treatment to homeless and impoverished families around Orange County.
In addition, the communities of Temecula and Murrieta were particularly hard hit by the housing crisis, putting many families out on the street. The Orange County Rescue Mission joined forces with Rancho Community Church in Temecula, Calif. to form the Temecula Murrieta Rescue Mission, providing relief to families with no other resources. In just two months, the Temecula Murrieta Rescue Mission has distributed 50,350 meals to 1,007 hungry families.
Brower, Miller & Cole was responsible for the announcement of the new mission to help garner community support in the form of donations and volunteers.
The Orange County Rescue Mission runs the Village of Hope. Located at the former Tustin Marine Corps Air Station, the Village of Hope is a comprehensive homeless facility with an emphasis on keeping families intact while providing them with vocational training, life skills and other tools to change their lives for the better.
The Village of Hope has 192 beds, a child development center, playground, parent education center, vocational training classrooms, health care facility, donation warehouse, cafeteria with an outdoor dining center, and support offices. Residents here are considered “students” who participate in a stringent two year program which allows them overcome their personal obstacles in order to achieve a self sufficiency in daily life while keeping their families together.
